Recordation Fee of $5 per quarter for wells with a Recordation Number.
Wellhead Fee of $65 per quarter, which applies to all wells and is paid whether or not any water is pumped.
Groundwater Extraction Fee of $25 per acre-foot, which applies to all wells. The minimum charge is for 0.5 acre-feet per quarter.
Groundwater Sustainability Plan Fee of $75 per acre-foot, which applies to wells within the DWR-defined groundwater basin. The fee does not apply to domestic wells who pump less than 2 acre-feet per year. The minimum charge is for 0.5 acre-feet per quarter.
These fees provide OBGMA with its operating income to effectively manage the Basin and comply with the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act and are in accordance with OBGMA’s enabling legislation and Ordinances.
